My dead camp crystal lake counselor cosplay was more for fun than anything. It also gave me tons of opportunities to experiment with SFX makeup. Doing Special Effects makeup is absolutely one of my favorite things to do with cosplaying now. So I decided to be a Camp Crystal Lake counselor so I can play with different effects after Jason comes to “kill me.”

For SFX makeup I got to experiment with a ton of different mediums to create my different dead counselor looks. This included things like liquid latex, flesh wax, and a variety of different bloods like scab, theatre, and spray. I also got to play with attaching stuff to my face with spirit gum and creating deep wounds with rigid collagen.
