Being a master crafter in costuming isn’t required. While it’s fun and lets you explore a different side of cosplaying, sometimes it’s nice to purchase and focus on the modeling side or even buy a base piece to then modify. There is a lot of shops out there and it’s hard to find quality and affordable options. That’s why I’m sharing what I consider the best places to buy cosplays from with you!
There is one place I’d like to recommend that can be considered more expensive and is best for finished cosplays or parts. Etsy is a great place to shop for cosplays from. However you will want to vet sellers before making a purchase. The following sellers I’ve listed though are ones I have purchased from or have had recommended to me by other cosplayers.
Budget Friendly Options
The following options are more budget friendly. They work great for full cosplays, finished parts or stuff to modify.
- Amazon – Again, check reviews before making a purchase, but Amazon has countless options for costumes, props, wigs and more that you can purchase. They’re great for things you want to wear as is or for stuff you’d like to weather or work on to improve.
- Spirit Halloween – While the physical stores are only open for a limited time, their online store is available year round. From props to costumes and even masks and SFX makeup, they truly do have it all for cosplayers.
- MicCostumes – This is one of my favorite stores for both regular costumes as well as for lewd options. If you like swimwear or cosplay lingerie, they have incredibly pretty unique designs to check out. In terms of regular costumes though they have a lot to offer as well as unique designs as well such as lolita and kigirumi.
- CosSky – The last option of the best places to buy cosplays is CosSky. I do like Miccostumes more but they also have similar options to them like full costumes and unique lewd choices too.
