Fantasy Elf Cosplay Ideas
Whether you choose to be dark or woodland, fantasy elves can make for very elegant costumes.
- OC – Cosplays aren’t limited to preexisting characters. You can easily create your own elf character. Whether it’s gothic or woodland themed, you’re sure to catch people’s attention with the ears and other mythical themes.
- Frieren – If you want a mix of anime and fantasy, Frieren is the perfect choice. She’s an elven mage with a cute costume you can easily purchase or sew.
- Legolas – This list would be incomplete without characters from Lord of the Rings. Our first candidate is of course the iconic Legolas. If you want to be an archer elf, than this is the character to go with.
- Tauriel – If we’re including Lotr, then we also have to include from The Hobbit. Wood-elves are a popular option since the woodland theme pairs well. While Tauriel didn’t originally appear in the novel, she’s a great character from the films.
- Sylvanas Windrunner – World of Warcraft has amazing NPCs to choose from. One NPC is the well known Sylvanas. You have a variety of armor options you can create from foam, thermoplastics or 3D printing.
- Galadriel – Returning to Lotr for a female character, the elegant Galadriel can make for a wonderful sewing project for any cosplayer.
- World of Warcraft – You can create your own character as a Blood or Night elf in WoW. So bring your creation to life as your own unique elf cosplay idea.
- Nissa – From Magic: The Gathering, she’s the savior of the elves. This card game has excellent artwork to work off of for a character reference.
- Skyrim/Elder Scrolls – Tamriel is full of different elves. From NPCs to your own created character, you can be an elf from any of the different Elder Scrolls games.
- Tyrande Whisperwind – Another WoW NPC, if you were also in the market for a videogame cosplay idea, Tyrande merges both gaming and elves. Choose from her armor set or elegant gown for your costume.
- Merwyn – Someone from The Witcher is a must have for this list. She’s an elven princess specifically from The Witcher: Blood Origin.
- Shadowheart – The popularity around Bauldur’s Gate required an elf from the game to appear on this list. Shadowheart’s iconic armor is a popular cosplay at many cons and can make for a fun foam or 3D print build.
- Eredin – Another elf from the Witcher, however this one appears in both the games and the Netflix series. This gives you options in outfits to wear as you cosplay Eredin Bréacc Glas.
- Arwen – Returning to the Lotr, we have another elegant elf that’s perfect for a seamstress looking to make a flowing gown. Arwen can also make a great couple costume if your partner is up for being Aragorn.
- Elrond – Father of Arwen, Elrond is another elegant elf choice from the Lotr franchise. His gorgeous flowing robes will make for a fun sewing project or bring his armor to life with foam or Worbla.
- Winter Queen – We’re specifically talking about the Winter Queen from The Witcher video game. This elf queen has incredible armor and a powerful staff you can make.
