As for digital ones, it starts with a simple search. You can search from online stores you know and trust, Etsy or even just in google itself. You’re bound to turn up results no matter which of those three you search in. But how do you know you can trust the sellers you’ve found?
Safe Cosplay Pattern Stores

Vetting is actually really easy on Etsy since it gives some transparency on stores. You want to check three different things. Check the overall star rating, how many sales they have and read the individual reviews. This can help paint a picture for the quality of the shop. I also will filter to look at the low ratings to see what the common issues are to rule out red flags.
