Another summer season is done and that means we’re done with cons and fairs for the year. So of course I want to end it on a 2024 Bristol Renaissance Faire recap to share about all the fun things I as a cosplayer experienced. There was lots of great times spent with amazing people and I’m really excited to dive on into.
I of course went opening weekend with a large group of friends. I was happy to be showing people around, especially friends who hadn’t gotten to go before. Everything from recommending shows and foods, to loaning out tiaras and bodices so everyone could take part in dressing up. Showing everyone around was a highlight. I continued to do so through the summer except closing weekend where I went with fellow veteran attendee, Cassie. That weekend was for resting in our favorite place, the Friends of Faire garden.
Costumes & Purchases
I showed off many costumes that I either made or purchased. Opening weekend was for my green chemise and my favorite gold overcoat I made. It gives rogue vibes and I’ve had people comment if it’s meant to be a Renaissance version of Loki so it’s one I always have to wear. Throughout the summer I mostly wore combinations of my different chemises with bodices I made.
I did however, get to wear a gorgeous red and gold bodice I purchased during the year. This jacket had long sleeves with fancy velvet cuffs. The sleeves were thankfully removable via a zipper so i did wear it without the sleeves. It’s one that can also be seen on my OnlyFans as well.
Closing weekend started with a Saturday peasant in my favorite purchased bodice and chemise. While the final day of it all, Monday, I was fortunate enough to have good weather for the fancy red and gold bodice again. I love it so much and it was an expensive buy so I really wanted to make sure it saw the faire one more time.
In terms of my purchases, it was the bodice mentioned before. But I was also able to get a new fan and a javelin that is now proudly displayed in my living room.
