How I Made Beetlejuice
While the dress was purchased, it was pretty modified to better fit Beetlejuice. I put green stain splotches, created a purple petticoat, a unique skull trim to the bottom, glitter buttons and additional trims to the sleeves. I did customize shoes though for this cosplay. I took a pair of heels and recolored them for Beetlejuice and wrapped a sandworm I made around the heel. Speaking of worms, I did make a giant plush sand worm too.
Final Thoughts
Genderbends or original designs can help you really express that creative side in cosplay. I had so much fun figuring out a unique way to dress as the Juice in a way that was glam and fabulous. It was also so cool to check out what other cosplayers have done when I was looking for inspiration.
