I moved! I got my own condo as of December 9th and am really excited to finally have my own place. Part of this place means I get to finally have my new cosplay workshop. I never had a designated space like this before since for the last year and a half I lived at home while saving for my own place. So my bedroom, work office, and cosplay workshop were all one space. Now I get a room designated as my office and workshop (due to recording content) and it is completely separate from my bedroom. But what does this mean? Let’s talk about it!
What My New Cosplay Workshop Looks Like
No this isn’t pictures since it is still kind of a disaster. Currently it has my old L shaped standing desk with my desktop rig on that for content creation, and gaming of course. It also has a closet to store props, wigs, and some supplies. I was able to get a large cart of drawers to store supplies and equipment to make cosplays, get a trash can for the space (yes I was missing this before), add a filing cart to store my designs, and NOT HAVE IT IN THE ROOM WITH MY BED! How exciting right? But it sounds like it might be missing stuff. Well it is!
What I Still Need for My New Cosplay Workshop
So there is a few things I need. I plan to have designated work spaces in the office (since I have the room to do so) for different crafting. Behind my desk I will have a regular desk for working on foam projects with things like, shaping, cutting, gluing, and maybe even painting. It will be close to my computer so I can film while I work for content. I also plan to get a potting bench that I will make modifications to for a Dremel station. I also plan to get a collapsible cart table for a sewing station. The last two things I am looking to get is a shop vacuum to keep the space clean and a wig rack which will actually be a shoe rack I repurpose.
What Will I Do With My New Cosplay Workshop
Make more cosplays! I plan to get back on track with current cosplay projects, and start new, more ambitious projects. I also plan to reopen commissions officially! I am so excited for what this new space means for me and my cosplay and content career. I look forward to showing you what I do next.
