When having an internet presence as a cosplayer, it can be appealing to find popular cosplay characters to try. These costumes have positive reactions from most of the community and are commonly done already. Thus the appeal to try them as well. They’re tried and true characters which is just what an influencer might desire. But what are the most popular cosplay characters out there?

  • Wonder Woman – Gal Gadot breathed life into DC movies and thus brought forth the popularity of cosplaying Wonder Woman.
  • Bulma – Bulma can be a for fun cosplay with her pink dress or a more sexy cosplay with her bunny girl design. Regardless, both are very well loved.
  • Spiderman and Co – The whole spider squad is worth trying to cosplay. Everyone from Miles Morales and Spiderman, to Spidergwen and Venom.
  • Raven – Teen titans was the cartoon from my childhood as well as many others. Thus comfort characters like Raven have been seen frequently cosplayed by others.
  • Velma – Not only is Velma a common character to see cosplayed, she can make for an easy closet costume if you need something fast.
  • Nezuko – Anime characters are very common amongst cosplayers. Including Nezuko from Demon Slayer.
  • Princess Peach – Princess Peach’s popularity only grows thanks to the Mario movie and Mariolore influencers like LoveBunny and DinoGraveyard.
  • Lara Croft – Tomb Raider is a classic videogame and brought to life the iconic character Lara Croft. Now countless people cosplay her and she even works for a simple closet cosplay.

Besides just characters, there’s franchises that tend to be very popular to select characters from.

  • Pokémon – Pokemon has characters to choose from as well as all the Pokemon to create custom cosplay displays that is still sure to wow the masses.
