- Cheap satins – This fabric has the same issues as both the polyesters and slinky jerseys. While satin is typically a great option for fantasy, try not to go for low quality options.

- Weather and breathability – Fabrics that breath are better. It helps to avoid over heating at a packed convention or summer Renaissance faire. So consider how well the fabric breaths and the weather conditions you will be wearing the costume in.
