If your skin reacts poorly to certain SFX makeup, you may need a rigid collodion alternative. Popular options can include liquid latex. Here’s a full list of options you have and how to use them:

  • Liquid latexWhen dried and properly shaded, you can create the sunken scar look with liquid latex. You can also create flexible textures and raised scars with it.
  • Eyelash glue – This is a latex free option that can work as a subtle alternative. By building it up in layers you can achieve a less intense scar however it may not look as sunken as rigid collodion.
  • Elmer’s glue – Another latex free option, this can work for temporary effects. It works similar as eyelash glue but is far less durable.

While these alternatives can work, rigid collodion is by far the best option for creating realistic, sunken in scars.
